SDWS OPENED FREE LEGAL ADVICE AND HELP CENTER ON 11.04.2010 IN DWARKA SEC-7
Shanta Bhati free legal advice and help centre was inaugurated recently at Palam Extension, Sector 7, near Ramphal Chowk. The centre was inaugurated by chief guest and member of Delhi Women Commission, Rupinder Kaur. ACP crime against women cell district south west Ishwar Singh was present as a special guest and spokesperson of Jaat College Rohtak, Sheelak Ram Dhul was the guest of honour. Area MLA SP Rana was also present at the occasion. Many social activists and the RWA representatives from the surrounding areas were also present.
The chief guest in her lecture focussed that the women commission has done several works for the establishment of rights of women in society. Sharing his thoughts, ACP Ishwar Singh said that such centres should be promoted. "As far as my knowledge is concerned this is the first centre of its type in this area which is a very good initiative taken by SDWS. Such type of centres should be increased so that a needy one could get benefit for their rights," Singh added.
In a chat with Cityplus, president of Social Development Welfare Society, Naresh Lamba informed, "The centre would help the needy by providing them legal advice and helping them to fight for their rights." The inaugural ceremony was presided and coordinated by former legal advisor of government of India and writer BN Mani Tripathy.
